Where are you travelling to Cuba from? Oddly enough, many people don’t know where Cuba is until they plan a vacation. Cuba is situated in the Caribbean, being the largest island (by far) island in the Caribbean archipelago. It is 90 miles (144KM) from Key West Florida USA. To the west, From Cancun Mexico to Cuba it’s around 95 miles (152km) from shore to shore. To the south you’ll find the Cayman Islands. To the East Haiti and the Dominican Republic and, above central Cuba, you’ll find the Bahamas. So, now if anyone asks you’ll know – Where is Cuba?

When you see people dressed in all white or who are sporting multicolored orange and yellow bangles then more than likely they’ve fallen under the black magic based spell! Santeria is a system of beliefs that merges the Yoruba religion which was brought to the New World by Yoruba slaves along with Christianity and Native American traditions, the religion is still widely practiced in Cuba.  These slaves carried with them various religious customs, including a trance and divination system for communicating with their ancestors and deities, animal sacrifice, and sacred drumming and religious dance.
